about me

  • 23 years old

  • I use she/her but don't mind they/them

  • aspiring author

  • PST

  • I've been writing since I learned how to read, but I really began to pursue writing as a skill when I was around 14, and specifically began writing fanfic when I was 15!

my boundaries

can I use your fanfic as inspiration for my own?

yes, as long as you're not outright plagiarizing me and also as long as you give me proper credit

can I make fanart/an animatic/cosplay/etc. based off your fanfic?

yes! I love seeing fancreations based off my fics, it makes me ridiculously happy. please tag me either on tumblr or twitter if you post it, I love seeing all of it! just make sure to give me proper credit

can I write fanfic of your fanfic?

once again I don't mind fancreations based off my fics just make sure to give my original fic proper credit (aka do not plagiarize my ideas or writing and try to pass it off as your own)

can I print and bind your fanfic into a book?

as long as you're only self printing and hand binding my fic for personal use, I don't mind at all. absolutely do not sell any printed copies of my fics, as you'd be profiting off of my work and I'm not okay with that. do not use a third party site to print and bind my fics as that can stir up legal issues.NEW ADDITION: please do NOT print and bind any copies of my fanfics, 'through a glass divine' and 'someone else's dream'. all my other fics are perfectly alright to print and bind, but those two I do not want printed anymore (if you printed and bound either of these fics before I added this, that's fine but please contact me to let me know you own a printed and bound)

can I dm you?

if you have a question or compliment for me related to my writing (ie: curious about something that happened in the story or you want clarification on my fancreation boundaries etc.) then sure! now, if you just want to dm me to chat because you want to try and befriend me, I only feel comfortable casually chatting like that in dms with adults. if you're a minor and you want to talk to me just to chat, feel free to join my discord server!

when are you going to update [insert fic here?]

please don't ask me when I'm going to update things! even if you say 'no pressure' it still puts a lot of anxiety and pressure on me. I try to update as regularly as I can but I'm an adult with a busy life so sometimes things get put off

can you please put [insert character] in your fic?

please don't ask me to include any specific characters or duos in my fics. I don't take requests

can I translate [insert fic here] into another language?

yes, you can translate my works into other languages! my only requests with translations are that 1) you provide proper credit and link back to my original fic on ao3 and 2) dm me the link to the translation once you post it, that way I just know where it is

frequently-asked questions

  • who is [insert character from clinic here]? chapter 11 authors notes have a list of all the heroes/villains/vigilantes and their identities go check there (as a note: just in general when I get questions about stuff in my fics like 75% of the time I've answered it in my authors notes already, please read those!)

  • who is supreme? ponk

  • what are the names of the city districts/what are [insert character]'s powers again/any question you can find the answer to in the fic itself but you don't want to go looking for please. just go reread the fic or ask someone else who's read it I have answered questions like these so many times

  • is the world forgetting by the world forgot a spin off/related to/a sequel to clinic? the world forgetting by the world forgot is not connected to the clinic-verse in any way, shape, or form

  • are you going to write a sequel to clinic? answered this in the author's notes of the last chapter of clinic, but no I do not plan on writing a sequel and please don't ask me for one!

  • do you have an update schedule? no, I don't. I'm an adult with a busy life outside of fic writing so I write when I can and just upload whenever I finish a new chapter. for whatever ongoing multi-chapter fic I have currently, I try to update at least once a week but that's not a guarantee

writing advice

general writing advice (copy and pasted from a question I answered in my discord server a while back)
I've talked about this a few times before, but when it comes to writing the only way you're really going to improve your skills is if you actually sit down and write. And more importantly, not everything you write needs to be published. In fact, I'd say about 80-90% of my google drive is largely unpublished fics that will never see the light of day. Basically if I have an idea for a story I want to write but I'm not sure what the full plot would be or I don't have anything in my head outside a single scene or two, I just go ahead and write it anyway because no writing is worthless. Even if the majority of what you write is never seen by anyone but you, that's still going to improve your skills. So my biggest recommendation is to just write whatever the hell you want without even thinking about publishing it. If you get an idea for a fic you know you could publish, great. But if you have an idea and you only think you could write a half scene of it or something, just write it anyway! Also, if you do start posting, don't feel like you need to start out with posting some long multi chapter fic. It might be easier to start posting one shots, that way you don't feel pressured to update all the time. Also don't get discouraged if you don't get a lot of hits or kudos at first. It can take a while to learn how to create summaries that grab readers attention. If your stuff doesn't get a lot of hits or anything it's usually no reflection on your abilities as a writer. It's more so based off how you tag, how you summarize, and what you choose to write about.

where I get my inspiration
I watch a lot of different movies, try to read a lot of fics, basically just consume lots of different pieces of media and think about what I like about those stories, and how I can do something similar!

how I stick with long projects/how I plan my long fics
you really need to experiment with methods of planning because different ways work for different people. For me personally, when I don’t want to lose motivation for a big project, I don’t let myself outline everything ahead of time. I have a vague idea of the overarching story, I know where I want the story to end, but then I only actually outline 2-3 chapters at a time. That way I’m still interested in continuing and I don’t get bored because I don’t always know what’s coming next. But it took me a lot of years to figure out that method, so don’t be afraid to experiment. Also don’t be afraid to abandon stories. If you don’t have the motivation or inspiration for something, don’t force yourself to write it, because that’s just gonna make the quality worse. Write what you want, even if you don’t publish it. Any writing practice at all is gonna help build your stamina and make longer projects easier to complete
